HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son... Matthew 28:19 - 20

The George Zajis Scholarship Fund

HISTORY

In 1968, Hope Community Church

established a scholarship fund to assist

and encourage Christian students

seeking to further their education. This

scholarship fund was later named in

memory of the late George Zajis, a

Charter Member of Hope Church.

George Zajis was a graduate of

Moody Bible Institute and served as

Treasurer at Hope Church. He helped

to develop a stronger men's presence

in the church through Men's

Fellowship Program. He felt

very strongly that the people of the

 Church should pool their

resources to help and

encourage students to continue

their education beyond high school -

with special attention being given to

those seeking a degree in

Christian Ministry.

In doing so, th Church would

produce its own pastors, evangelists,

 teachers, muscians, and other

Christian workers. Upon graduation,

the students would return to their

Church and Community to help others

reach their goals.

and his dream continues today...
